INTRODUCTION TO THE DATASET:

The ARC/INFO® export format file t1190 gives the Beijing administrative regions GIS data in 1:1M, county level, on 31 December 1990. It is part of the China Administrative Regions GIS Data: 1:1M, County Leve l, 1990.

This dataset is composed of boundary files covering the administrative regions of Beijing, including 8 counties and 10 districts in 15 polygons in which the Doncheng Qu, Xicheng Qu, Xuanwu Qu and Chongwen Qu are combined as one polygon.

The dataset includes information on geographical locations, areas, administrative division codes, and names for each counties and districts.
