Data are available at a resolution of 30 arc-seconds or approximately 1 kilometer for the continental United States, as well as for individual states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. Summary File 3 (SF3) data are derived from the Census long form and, in 2000, are based on a sample of approximately one out of every six households.
