Combine Boston University's MODIS land cover data and SPOT Vegetation's global land cover (GLC 2000) data set to create 391 composite land cover classes. 2. Callibrate the satellite data against the Agricultural Inventory Data by first computing land area fractions from inventory data and use of linear models relating satellite data sets to agricultural inventory data. 3. Adjust Cropland area estimates. Cropland area estimates from land cover data sets were aggregated to administrative level and then compared to the inventory data to determine correction factors. The correction factors were contrained between 0.2 and 5.0.
