Objective
=========

       To preserve nature, natural areas and the landscapes,
especially in boundary regions.

Summary of provisions
=====================

       (a)   Parties to develop the concept of the protection of
transboundary natural areas and landscapes (art. 3, para. 1);

       (b)   Parties to establish programmes for the protection of
such areas (art. 3, para. 2);

       (c)   Parties to consult on management projects concerning
transboundary areas;

       (d)   Parties to establish the status of protection areas (art.
3, para. 2).
