6. How do I generate a status matrix?
Step 1:
Follow the steps in tutorial #5, 'How do I
use my cart?'. If you have items in your cart already, you can
skip this step. Please view your cart by clicking on the
icon.
It helps to have treaties and countries that
have some relevance for the Status Matrix to have meaning so,
I selected the ones you see in Step 2 below.
Step 2:
Click on the view status matrix link:

When you click on the 'view status matrix'
link, a matrix will be set up with your cart selections by default.
The screen will look something like this:

Step 3:
Adjust the size of your window to make the
display easier for you to read. The layout resizes according
to your preference. You'll notice some controls and icons on
this screen along with your cart selections. Treaties are set
up in the columns. Countries populate the rows. This is by default
You can transpose this table by clicking on the
icon.
Your table reloads with the countries in the
columns and the treaties populating the rows.
It looks something like this:

The default view includes countries in your
cart and what their current status is. You can change your table
to also display all relevant countries and other variables illustrated
below by using the controls provided:
Go ahead and select some other variables and
see how the page reloads with your new variable displayed n
the cells. In this example their are no other relevant countries.
Selecting that variable will yield the same results.
Step 4:
You'll notice that there are check boxes next
to your treaties and countries. If you want to remove an item
from this table uncheck it and then click on the
icon. The page will reload without the item in your table any
longer.
Step 5:
Click on the 'download this matrix' link for
an excel spreadsheet of this screen. The .xls file downloaded
to your computer is viewable using Microsoft's Excel Spreadsheet
software.
