Thailand has only one total atmospheric ozone monitoring station at Bangkok since 1984. Regular monitoring is being conducted, no significant change has been detected. From early 1994, it was found that the total ozone reading recorded were no longer constant. Further tests indicated that the equipment has some technical problems. Our scientists try to recalibrate but we cannot come across the problems. So we take the further action by sending our equipment to Japan for recalibration. We hope that the monitoring should be carried out again in April or May of this year.
