Compendium of Environmental Sustainability Indicator Collections: A collection of data from five national-level sustainability indicator initiatives together with ancillary data on population, income, and land area. The complete compendium of 411 indicators and 38 ancillary variables is available for download.

Dashboard of Sustainability: A free-of-charge, non-commercial software which allows the presentation of complex relationships between economic, social, and environmental issues in a highly communicative format aimed at decision makers and citizens interested in sustainable development. It is also particularly recommended to students, university lecturers, researchers, and indicator experts.

Environmental Vulnerability Index (2004): A vulnerability index for the natural environment, the basis of all human welfare, has been developed by the South Pacific Applied Geoscience Commission (SOPAC), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and their partners. The index was developed through consultation and collaboration with countries, institutions, and experts across the globe. This index is designed to be used with economic and social vulnerability indices to provide insights into the processes that can negatively influence the sustainable development of countries.

European Commission Joint Research Center, Institute for Security and Protection of the Citizen: Provides information on a variety of composite indicators used to measure human and environmental wellbeing in Europe and around the world.

IISD Compendium of Sustainability Indicator Intiiatives: A directory of several hundred sustainability indicator initiatives around the world, from local to global in scope.

Scientific Committee on Problems in the Environment: The ongoing Assessment of Sustainability Indicators (ASI) project began in 2003 and is implemented jointly by SCOPE and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), together with the International Human Dimensions Programme on Global Environmental Change (IHDP) and the European Environment Agency (EEA), under the sponsorship of the International Council for Science (ICSU).

UN Division for Sustainable Development, Indicators of Sustainable Development: Chapter 40 of Agenda 21 calls on countries and the international community to develop indicators of sustainable development. This Web site houses the Commission on Sustainable Development (CSD) list of indicators along with other information on sustainability indicators.

UN System-Wide Earthwatch: Actively encourages the development of indicators of environment and sustainable development, as a way to improve the delivery of information for decision making.

Indicators: A SEDAC-sponsored discussion list that serves as a forum for the exchange on the broad topic of environmental and sustainability indicators.
