Data Sources

The Chinese County-Level Data on Hospitals and Epidemiology Stations, 1950-1985 was provided by Prof. William Lavely (Director of CITAS - China in Time and Space - Project and Associate Professor at University of Washington, Seattle, USA).

The data were created from (1) Tabular data source; and (2) County boundary GIS data source:

(1) Tabular Data Source:

  • National Directory of County-Level and Above Hospitals (Health System), Beijing: People's Public Health Press, 1985.
