* When authors make use of data they should cite both the data set and the scientific publication, if available. Such a practice gives credit to data set producers and advances principles of transparency and reproducibility. Please visit the data citations page for details. Users who would like to choose to format the citation(s) for this dataset using a myriad of alternate styles can copy the DOI number and paste it into Crosscite's website.

The China County-Level Data from Provincial Economic Yearbooks, Keyed to 1:1M GIS Map in ArcInfo Interchange and dBase IV formats contains a series of tables from the China Provincial Economic Yearbook data for 1990 and 1991 and are geocoded with the China Administrative Regions GIS Data: 1:1M, County Level, 1990.

The data set contains the variables included in the following variable groups: natural resources, population, employment, wage, finance, prices, people's livelihood, agriculture, construction, industry, energy, production materials, transportation, postal and telecommunication services, environmental, education, science, patents, culture, banking, insurance, trade, tourism, sports, health care, and social welfare.

The China County-Level Data from Provincial Economic Yearbooks, Keyed to 1:1M GIS Map was developed by the CITAS (China in Time and Space) project funded by CIESIN under the NASA grant NASG-2901 and the Ford Foundation grant No.995-0669.

The 1990 data are available for download in ArcInfo Interchange (.e00), and and dBase IV (.dbf) formats here [6.9 MB zip file].

The 1991 data are also available for download in ArcInfo Interchange (.e00), and and dBase IV (.dbf) formats here [6.9 MB zip file].
